Very quiet

I had to take my car for a service today and rather than just get the train back home, I went into Manchester instead.  It was very cold and very quiet - in fact so quiet that I felt rather sorry for the large number of people conducting market research who had no one to talk to.  So I participated in three surveys - well I wasn't in a hurry or anything.

I think I enjoyed the questionnaire about the Arndale shopping centre most - there were lots of questions about which shops I'd been into and how much I'd spent - and the only places I'd been had been two fancy dress shops in search of a new Santa hat since my old one fell apart on the last Rotary collection.  I bought two hats at £1.99 each - the last of the big Christmas spenders ;-)
