Visiting Swan

I never know what/who will show up outside my door on my own little private wildlife preserve.  Today it was a swan which I just happened to notice while I was standing at the kitchen counter.  I did the expected double take, ran for my bird ID book to confirm it was indeed a swan and not a snow goose, either of which I hadn't seen here before.  Then I ran for the camera.  The swan was just drifting along with some mallard duck friends and then it went to a spot a the edge of the water, tucked its beak in its wing and took a nap.  (See Extra)  It left after a couple hours and I hope has rejoined its flock, wherever it is.
