Two Pairs

Jim came by with a gift of pears. His sister shipped him a box of the finest from Harry & David and he wanted to share them. They are natives of Medford and feel a special connection to the famous gift package company. I feel a special connection to Jim who goes way back to my sister's college days at the U of O. He and she and Eric all are seriously battling cancer.
Won't I be grateful for the day that isn't the main thing on my mind. (I ought to think more about Christmas in Killarney, the tune we are tapping to at a small performance tomorrow, one I have been way not enthusiastic about.)
