Broadies

Broad beans aren't everyone's cup of tea but we love them!  With the extremely hot weather we are having the harvesting of our produce is all happening at once.  Broccoli, cauli, cabbage, silver beet, asparagus, spuds, lettuces, radishes and the broadies.  The fruits are coming in too, we've had a few feeds of the strawberries, raspberries, karaka berries and currents are ripening and won't be long.  Rhubarb is ready too.
Today we pulled out the plants and stripped them of the remaining beans, podded them while watching the cricket and now they are in the freezer.
Bllimming scorching again, another 30 degree day,  these temperatures are excessive for our part of the country.
