McKenzie Rug

In 1957, when I went off to boarding school at the age of nine, a friend of my mother's, Mary McKenzie, gave me this rug as a bed cover to ward of the chills of a freezing school dormitory where it was forbidden to close the windows. Character building, they called it. The Cash's name tag dears witness. This variation is the Seaforth Highlanders' set, and it has accompanied me around the world ever since.
