FlowerFriday8 Cold

Today we woke to bright skies and much colder temperatures, although here in West Essex we have not been affected by Storm Caroline.  Violet had a sleepover with us last night and woke at the very reasonable time of 6.50am after a good night's sleep.  We planned to see her friend S and her mummy at Forty Hall before going to Tumble Tots.  The first part of our plan worked well and we had a very enjoyable hour or so having coffee while the girls played and had hot chocolate.  Unfortunately we didn't get to Tumble Tots as there were horrendous traffic jams and a should be 15 minute journey took 45! Instead we popped into our practice to see Mr MC briefly and wish him happy birthday (again).  My extra is of my alternative flower Violet, just checking out the Christmas tree in our waiting room.  The main pic is of some rather seasonal flowers from the supermarket, hastily taken as usual.
The cold in the title could refer to the weather or to the fact that, unbelievably, I have another cold: only a head cold this time but irritatingly debilitating all the same, at such a busy time.  Hopefully I'll be fine by Monday when we will celebrate Mr MC's birthday properly with our annual ice skating outing.
