A Celebration

In light of yesterday's events, it feels very strange to be gearing up for a big celebration this evening, but I guess this sort of juxtaposition is a lot like what life is all about -- highs and lows, joys and sorrows. 

Tonight we are hosting a housewarming party to bring in the holiday season, as well as to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary.   I didn't feel I could whip out the camera in the middle of the fray this evening, so instead I'm showing the beautiful flowers that are doing a fantastic job of cheering the place up and making it look festive.  Snow is predicted for later in the day ... hopefully not so much that it will affect our guests' travel plans.
