uphill

life is a bit of an uphill struggle at the minute, for various reasons. then again, at least i didn't fluff my lines in front of five billion people and i don't have to get up tomorrow and be leader of the free world before breakfast (or even after it)...

the event, tho impressive (what a speech!) i couldn't get too excited about - but his first day at work i can't get enough of: a president with smarts who can speak in sentences, who makes it ok to be smart in the old-fashioned sense of intelligence through hard work and education, and who realises that telling lies and hitting people isn't a good way to behave. wow.
