Looking towards Mt Teide

We were on a walk through the ancient woodlands around El Cedro in the heart of Garajonay. It started pretty cool as we wandered amongst the Laurel and Willow tree. Such a different environment with the trees further in dripping with liche and bird song all around us. We crossed a stream with running water the first l had seen containing water. The path became very high and narrow in places all adding to the magical feel of the area.

This photo was taken as we descended into a small hamlet. The mountain in the distance is Mt Teide in Tenerife. The flower is a variety of Aloe vera.

Another great walk in a very different environment.
