The Bank of England
The gold figure is Ariel, she is symbolically flying to all corners of the globe bringing credit and trust. Whilst Ariel was male, the golden figure is female and sometimes referred to as Arielesque.
We are standing within Tivoli Corner now part of the Bank of England, formerly Soane's Bank, subsequently refashioned to allow public access across the corner.
