Goldfinches

A flock of Goldfinches alighted down the garden today, at least twenty of them.  They seem to come into suburbia when the colder weather bites.  Too far away for a decent shot, I ventured out but they were soon spooked.  So you have a much longer range shot as they alighted in a more distant tree.  

Ben came round so Jamie was almost invisible for most of the day. Michael, who was my Best Man 25 years ago, is in Norwich for the weekend also visited so there was a nice symmetry to the day.  Later Margaret came to collect Ben allowing yet more happy conversation.   We closed out with Jamie playing his violin for his Mum via video link :-)
