Pembroke Arms

Left this cosy hotel with its real log fires this morning after a full English Breakfast and set off for home. On the way (sort of) we stopped at Heathrow to pick up D’s iPad, which he’d left on the plane and had been turned in (thank goodness!)
We had a change of plans, so didn’t end up doing a much longer round trip via Sussex to pick up our niece, but instead met my brother and said niece back in Sutton where D cooked us all a delicious dinner of rack of lamb with Creme Brûlée to finish (and a few great wines courtesy of my brother). We are supposed to be driving to Manchester tomorrow but will have to see, as heavy snow storms are predicted overnight!
