End of an era

The  guy on the left is retiring this weekend, after about 27 years of flying (probably more, I can't remember) in Shetland.

He will be sorely missed. He was the backbone of the operation, knew all its little intricacies and quirks and ran it like clockwork. How things have changed. :-( We will miss him for his eternally positive outlook, his legendary Sunday roasts and of course his long rambling discourses on pensions and how to maximise them!

The best bit about this photo is that he's about 4 feet high, and the guy on the right of the photo is about 7 feet high - hence the grin.

All the best old chap for a long and happy retirement - you lucky git! :-)
