Cutting Holly

We have several big holly trees at the back of the house and I have blipped them several times.   Part of the Christmas ritual at Feorlean is cutting some holly for the festive season and we did that this morning, with snow still on the ground and the temperature below freezing.

Then we went for a walk up the hill to another holly bush - the one that marks the usual length of our perambulation in what was a rather dark forest but which has now been cut and re-planted, leading to fantastic views up the glen and across the loch, as my two extra pictures show.
