More snow!

It was snowing when I went to bed, probably continued all night and was still snowing when it got dark today.

The county has pretty well come to a standstill and I was certainly not going to drive in it so went for a walk around the village. There were lots of places that were too slippery to walk on and others  that I couldn't go as the snow was too deep.   

My main blip is of a bit of fencing by the castle and one extra is of the village church.

The other extra is of a blackbird doing acrobatics to reach the fat balls (I had of course put food and water on the ground).  There have been lots of birds on the feeders today including a male bullfinch (a neighbour's cat killed the female), different types of tits, sparrows, chaffinches and a pied wagtail that never comes in the garden. A buzzard was flying around - it must be very difficult for birds of prey in this weather.
