Christingle

Sunday 10th December 2017 (1933)

A very long but enjoyable and rewarding day. After the two services this morning it was time to get the church set up for the Christingle services. Approx 290 Christingle oranges had already been prepared. We now hold two services to fit everyone in. Across the two we had approx 530 people and raised a lot of money for the Children's Society. 

A four year old took over my talk at the first one and it became a real double act, he was brilliant. I did ask his mum if I could rent him for the second service but unfortunately he couldn't stay. 

After the services I joined the choir and we went out for an Indian meal, that's two Sundays in a row, I could get used to this!
