Central Park

Another morning of rain :( Seeing as yesterday we hadn't planned for rain we did today and so visited the Guggenheim museum this morning. Currently they have a Picasso exhibition on and we spent nearly 3hrs wandering around the gallery. As we were leaving around midday the sun came out! A brucey bonus! As we were right next to Central Park we enjoyed a lovely afternoon strolling around. We then took the subway to union square that had a great farmers market on and then from there walked through Chelsea to the HighLine. This was a last minute addition to today's itinerary and was definitely worth it. The HighLine is an elevated park which has been built on historic freight railway lines. From the HighLine you get some great views of manhattan and there is some great modern art and graffiti on show. Fingers crossed for another dry and sunny day tomorrow. X
