I bought a thing to attach to the camera that hold the flash off to one side rather than on the top, a bracket i believe it is called. Tried it on my niece this afternoon with the diffuser on it and I'm not convinced it is far enough off axis to be any use. Better than an on camera flash but the shadow is still a bit prominent.

After yesterdays xmas celebrations I'm a bit flaky but that didn't stop me having a couple of glasses of rather nice wine whilst preparing my quotes for a client meeting on Monday. Not done this for a while but I'm trying to get back into it, all feels rather alien.
