Festive walking......

Today we had our club Christmas walk.  Attired as usual in our Christmas hats etc. (Cathie always goes the extra mile) we headed to Culzean Castle estate and walked within its policies, stopping for mulled wine and hot Christmas pies at lunchtime.  

The weather was super, no wind, a bit of sunshine, and little ice.......

After our walk we changed into our finery and headed over to Kirkoswald where we had a terrific dinner at Souter Johnnie's...... a favourite of our's. I had prawn cocktail (enough for two) and then a fantastic individual steak pie, with a choice of vegetables and the most superb mashed potato.  And lemon meringue pie for pud!  All accompanied by a variety of home made breads.  Wonderful stuff.  The wine was nice too!  No repeat of yesterday's disaster.

A great day, one to remember!
