Mist Rising, Elter Water

The morning dawned fine and clear with some lovely mist patches over the water. I clambered up to my favorite perch on Neaum Crag before sunrise from which there are superb views of the Langdale valleys, Loughrigg Tarn and Elterwater. As the sun broke through this was one of many images taken looking towards the valley.

Photography over it was time to put on the boots and go for a walk around the beautiful Little Langdale valley, the distance covered was almost doubled due to missing a couple of turns but was still most enjoyable if tiring. The day ended in light drizzle and rain overnight so better dig out the waterproofs.
