Notes from a bald-eagle

Edinburgh Castle

Went to a great concert this evening at the Usher Hall. Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich with a great virtuoso performance by Vadim Gluzman, playing Tchaikovsky's violin concerto on the original stradivarius for which it was written! The castle looked good as we left the Usher Hall, and as we had the camera with us...
Start of a Russian weekend really, with a visit to the Catherine the Great exhibition at the National Museum complete with a performance of Russian songs by the Glasgow Russian Choir.
