Flood!

After a long, hot spell, we got a deluge today -talk about going from one extreme to another!

This flooding happened in the next street over from where we live. I had set out in the car to get some flood photos, and had no sooner turned out of the driveway when I saw a fire engine. I turned around at the top of the street and came back to take photos.

Apparently 27mm of rain fell this morning, and Timaru recorded the most rainfall in the country for today.
