Solitary....

Maisie and I walked around the lake and environs of the Taylor Dam this morning. There is a lot of birdlife on the lake at the moment but this black swan sailed past on its own. There were big black clouds looming up behind the hills to the south. Then late this afternoon thunder started booming around the hills and the skies opened. Hannah and Alex had walked to local shops... without raincoats. I drove through torrential rain to pick them up at the local supermarket. We are delighted with the rain we have had so far..... and hope it continues through the night.
