TWAS ON A WEDNESDAY MORNING.....
…..the gas man came to call! We had to get up early this morning as our favourite plumber, Mark, was due to service our boiler and we were his first call. It’s a good job I am feeling better, because the house was really cold this morning because we had to leave the heating off.
He is a great fella and when the boiler is due for its service, I never have to even say who I am when I text him - I just ask him what date he wants his bacon rolls - I even make sure we have HP sauce as it’s his favourite!
We have known Mark a long time and we are always happy with his workmanship - but it’s coffee time first so that we can catch up with what our families are doing.
It’s great to know a good workman and of course, we have often recommended him to our friends - “word of mouth” is definitely the best recommendation.
Not sure if Mr. HCB would want to be Mark’s apprentice, but they certainly had a good laugh together while I made the bacon rolls - perhaps we should reverse roles next year and I will be his apprentice!

the greatest joy is having
someone else do a
first class job
under your direction.”
