Its warmed up, but it is now windy and very wet.  I must admit that I prefer those colder crisper sunnier days at this time of year, but I am definitely living in the wrong part of the world for that!  I have a Christmas lunch to go to later today which involves horse racing and (inevitably) inebriated conversation.  Some years the horses come in and our collective bet pays for a very fine time, but other years (the majority I fear) we just have a more expensive lunch :-). 

It is however, always immense fun...
