Llyn Padarn

Just outside Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon lies this lake.

I used to come here regularly while growing up even going for a swim with our dog in the summer. It is quite cold and very rainy here today and the very thought of taking a dip in this water sends a shiver down my spine.

The view from this end of the lake is a bit of a classic and at its best when the rain is receding and the clouds reduced to fingers caressing the mountain ridges.
