"A reindeer to watch over me"

I'm sure there must be a Christmas song about reindeer watching over children, or maybe I have a weird imagination!
Marlane got the reindeer for Lennon when he was ill in hospital and when she asked what he wanted for Christmas he said a reindeer. He was 3 at the time, 7 years ago. Christmas was coming up and he was either going to get better, or die, or be in a wheelchair for years if not for life. He was diagnosed with suspected Guillain-Barre Syndrome, I don't know if they ever decided on exactly what the problem was but he was very ill for 3 weeks in hospitals in Birmingham. Moved from Good hope to Birmingham Childrens Hospital, to Heartlands and back again.
He came out of hospital just before Christmas but in a wheelchair.
After a month he decided he'd had enough and took some wobbly steps.
He's an amazing boy and we are very lucky to have him with us.
His big brother, Dhylan, was only 5 or 6 at the time and was very worried about his little brother.
Now we have Hendrix and it appears that he has inherited the Reindeer to watch over him now in the same way he did with Lennon.
