.........but the Fenimore Cooper in me is still live and well :-D
On my way back down the trail I rounded a corner to find Mrs Blacktail and her calf looking straight at me :-O
Having spent a lifetime convinced I am Hawkeye , and having watched Ray Mears and Bear Grylls on odd occasions; decided to put my bushcraft to the test !

And got to within 30 '  of them :-)

So if you hear some Indians whoops ....that'll be me  :-D
