Royal Botanic Gardens Kew

The buses and trains ran to perfection today. I managed to do a webinar on the train and made Central London by early afternoon.

After checking the tube times and against my better judgement having seen the weather forecast, I headed off to Kew Botanical Gardens in order to cross another item off my ever growing list.

Today’s Blip features the steamy interior of the Palm House.

I was somewhat disappointed as a couple of the main attractions - The Pagoda and The Temperate House were both closed for restoration and hidden behind hoardings or under sheeted scaffold.

The gardens are open on evenings in December for a spectacular light show with over a million bulbs. The event was fully booked, however many of the lights were switched on at 3pm as it began to fall dark and the heavens opened.
