A Christmas Crane

I noticed this brightly lit crane from the restaurant in Market St where I was having dinner with some colleagues.

Later on my way back to my flat I walked past where it is working , the building site at the old St James Centre.

It has been so well decked out with lights that it makes an impressive contribution to the seasonal city illumination including its near neighbour , the top of the tower at the Balmoral Hotel on Princes St.
