Eye contact

This is Gerard.
On the Dart.
A bit nervous that he might miss his stop (Blackrock).
You see, his eyesight is not that great. He has an appointment in the Blackrock clinic this morning for his cataract.
It took him two years to get the appointment. For a procedure that should take 1 hour or two tomorrow.
Unless the consultant tells him that it is postponed for another year. Or two.
He could have had it done much earlier if he had had the required EUR1,700 to go private.
He didn't.

He told me that he is supposed to get one eye done tomorrow. And the other later. Probably in a year. Or two.
We wondered if you get to choose which eye you get done first. I know that I'd go for my Raheny Eye.

We did see eye to eye about the state of the Irish health system.
Pretty much a case of the blind leading the blind.
