Ruined
Edinburgh City centre has been a building site almost the whole time for the past seven years - trams, Waverley steps, neverending road surface works on Leith Walk and now St James Centre redevelopment.
The pedestrian area around it is now a maze of walkways surrounded by high fences that herd you across the road several times where you have to dodge confused drivers...
I'm sure it will be worth it in the end when in 2020 they open a high class hotel surrounded by expensive shops just in time for the post Brexit super financial crisis...
