Christmassy Christmas sheaves?

There are lots of Christmas sheaves with red ribbons around. Some hanging on fences, mail boxes, trash bins or trees. This one is attached to a tree in a corner of our garden. Another one is attached to our mail box. Some time ago Christmas sheaves were put up to feed birds. No birds to see in them today. The birds prefer sunflower seeds. Today the Christmas sheaves are put up to make it Christmassy. For ourselves. Not for the birds.
