A Bigger Splash

It was the mid week cycling group's Christmas lunch outing today. We had booked a table at a restaurant up the canal. The morning was freezing . Minus 1. There was ice all over the towpath but we ventured out. I only did a short ride to get there but others were more intrepid.

Then on the way back one of the group slid on the ice and went full length into the drink. Sliding below the nearly freezing surface. He managed to grab his bike which was floating away. Not something to be tried at home.

Its back to the usual rain and wind now.
