Looking Back

A very cold day for my Sunday morning bike ride. Minus 6 deg C. Actually there's not a lot of ice. There is frost though, so it pays to be a wee bit careful in places, even along the coast road.  I take the road through Niddry and Newcraighall down to Musselburgh. I didn't take the cycle path as I wasn't sure if it had been gritted.

Just before Aberlady, I stop to get my blip. As you can see, even this close to the coats, there is frost on the grass. The temperature has risen to just about minus 1. In the middle, on the horizon, viewed large, you can see Arthur's Seat.

From here, I head east to Aberlady and West Fenton. From there, its up to Gullane. I stay on the road cycle lane as the share path has loads of frost and ice. Then its the coast road back to Musselburgh, and then the cycle path back in to Edinburgh and then home. I get home, the temperature has risen to minus 3.5.

In the afternoon, it down to town to do some browsing for Christmas presents. And coffee.
