Not enough hours.....
A jobs day then Tony headed up to the allotment to prepare the ground for the fruit trees which arrived today just as friend Helen arrived for a last catch up before Christmas. We managed to do some initial planning on our next walking holiday, which is always good despite being some months ahead. We are looking at doing the coastal section of the Cleveland Way.
Late afternoon the Sue Ryder men arrived with a van to hopefully take away the desk. There was some health and safety umming and aahing about the steps which had to be negotiated, and then whether they could take a desk or not. Helen and I offered to lift the desk up the stairs for them, then suddenly all was okay and it went.....great stuff!
Mini neighbour L came and spent ten minutes with me, reading 'Peace at Last' whilst her mum went to collect big sister C from school and, surprisingly, we discovered two chocolate squirrels in the Christmas window which had their names on them! Meanwhile, Father Christmas had suddenly appeared in the window during the squirrel excitement - I'd forgotten about the magic of little ones!
All this meant that suddenly it was dark outside and I still had no blip, so it's the Christmas tree!
