Long Shadows
Up early and to the city for another eye investigation - inconclusive, again, and now I have a referral to the hospital to see what they make of it all.
I had two lots of drops, one of which dilated my pupils. Emerging into bright, low sunlight, every thing was blurred for an hour or so. And my camera battery was flat, and no spare with me. So not a great start on the photographic front.
On Princes Street, I saw the Salvation Army band outside the old BHS store. A scene which could have been shot 50 years ago. Dropped some coins in their bucket to encourage them to keep going for another 50.
Later we called on friends to drop off their presents, did some more Christmas shopping, and now we are resting with a glass of red while the Toad in the Hole cooks.
I'm beginning to feel quite Christmassy.
