Basil Brush

Well, his real name was Chester, but my mother insisted on calling him Basil Brush from when he was young until she died.

This is a pastel painting I did of him when he was about three. He died a year or so ago aged 14, but was always a "character" with all sorts of hang-ups - but that's what you have to expect from a rescue dog I'm afraid.

He enjoyed most of his life though - just hated anything that went bang or flashed brightly. And the postman...
