Sunrise over the Melrose bypass.
With great difficulty, I managed to drag myself out of bed at seven o’clock this morning. It was another frosty start to the day and as I was defrosting my car, I spotted the cracking sunrise. As soon as my windows were clear, I jumped into the car and set off for Melrose to pick up my weekly paper. I really wanted to get to somewhere that I could see the Eildons without trees or buildings on the foreground, so I turned into Darnick and made my way to Broomilees Bridge.
This shot from the bridge is looking down the A6091, Melrose bypass, towards the Eildons. You can almost make out the Borders General Hospital on the right.
