Large Postage Bill

Observations during my hour and a half visit to the Post Office today;
Being asked if the big box covered in wrapping paper & bows needs to arrive by Christmas
Joining a four person queue and knowing you’ll be at least an hour.
Watching as a ‘counter service assistant’ fits your envelope one way through “the slot” and when it won’t fit the other way charges you the higher rate.
Knowing that the “just pop it on the scale” is industry code for the postage for this is going to cost twice as much as the contents.
Wondering why an organisation with the sole objective of delivering mail, parcels etc offers proof of postage.
