Traffic Lights. What have they ever done for us? How many are there in the world? How much control do they exert over us? Would the world be in chaos if they did not do their job? How did people manage in the past without them?

The idea even pervades modern work practice. We have management dashboards with traffic lights for reporting purposes. Today I have been reviewing research ethics forms that are graded into red, amber and green.

Our whole lives are influenced by traffic lights. Have to go now - before I start rambling on about Little Green Men !!
