Leave Aldo alone

Please don't chain John Aldridge to the railings. After all he is British football's leading ever goalscorer (474 goals).

I remember seeing Aldo play for Liverpool in the late 1980's. He looked uncannily like Ian Rush who he had replaced when Rushy went off to Juventus (Rush came back home from Italy after just a year claiming that it was "like living in a foreign country"). Aldo scored 63 goals in 104 games for Liverpool and collected 69 caps for the Republic of Ireland.

He's a bit of a hero of mine and I'll be very upset if any disgruntled Everton fans chain him to the railings.
