Bustle

Hustle and bustle in Chinatown.

A swim first thing, and then a long walk via Tiong Bahru Market (where I made a most unusual purchase and we had pastries at Tiong Bahru Bakery) as far as the Singapore River in the vicinity of Clarke's Quay, and then back through Chinatown, where we came across a flea market in the vicinity of EasyWash. By chance we arrived back at the complex just as L and La were arriving from their lunch party (on bikes). Another swim and a wee snooze alongside the pool followed, and now we're about to have dinner.

16k steps and two swims in considerable warmth. And quite a few interesting sights and sounds in a city which I find to be more interesting than its reputation generally permits.
