This fabulous piece of work appeared outside St Mary's as the Paolozzi Statues are being dug up to allow the new development (including a "people friendly" three lane gyratory complained about here.)

Paolozzi made me for this site to commemorate the battle of Monte Cassino and the Scottish Italian Club please save me.


I have it on good authority that they have been safely transferred to a temporary spot in Hillside Crescent. Who knows when they will make it back? Apparently the sculptures are to be spread about once returned to the area and advertisers have already put bids in to erect flashing bill boards round about them. Classy.
