Rainbow

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church held its annual Rainbow Service this evening. This is a service of reflection and remembrance for those who have been bereaved.

During the service those attending are invited to tie a coloured ribbon to the (once) bare branch of a tree - now called the Rainbow Tree (pictured) - and keep another ribbon in memory of the person whom they wish to remember.

The Rainbow Tree will remain in church until Easter Day 2018 and more ribbons will be added as people visit the church during that time.
