Women working, can you imagine that?

I can't believe that in a society often hypersensitive to sexism, certain actual sexist offenses are blatantly ignored or deemed acceptable.

Point in case: this construction sign. Every time I see it I am more bothered by its message. MEN handling EQUIPMENT. Really? As if women could ever work in construction or with tools. Or work at all for that matter. Obviously we are all in the kitchen making roast dinners for our construction-worker husbands.

The sign desperately needs to be reworded. Thanks to this lady, power-washing the paths on campus today, for making a change.
