Can't see the wood for the trees!

I always walk past this little copse on the way to my parents' place. Today I thought the light was catching it very nicely!

My Dad went over to visit my Uncle today. My Mum was complaining about him going there the whole time he was away! She doesn't mind him seeing his brother (she says!) but he should be the one to come to their house, and without my Aunt! My Aunt has no idea she's done anything wrong (because she hasn't!) so quite how my Dad or Uncle could tell her she's not welcome I don't know!

I got the tale of how my aunt and a friend of hers deliberately tripped my Mum and left her on the floor for an hour while they laughed at her on loop too! I just make out I'm hearing it for the first time, but be non-committal since it didn't actually happen! I won't argue - my Dad has tried that - but I won't confirm it happened either!

The last trace of Christmas was the string of cards, which my Mum insisted I took down. Once my Dad got home he was very disappointed that they'd gone and wanted them back up. My Mum wasn't happy about it - she insists Christmas is long over. I daresay she'll have her way by the time I go again on Thursday!

Tomorrow I will be getting my hair made to look less like a snake's wedding, and the roots done too! I'll get the last few Christmas bits I want to get as well!
