Old shoe

Every beach should have one - or at least every secret cove like this one. Merriam-Webster defines the expression 'old-shoe' as 'characterised by familiarity or freedom from restraint; comfortable, unpretentious'. It turns out that there is a Chicago rock band of the same name; not brilliant, but evidently great fun live, with covers of wonderful songs like Loving Cup and Ophelia.
