Natural Patterns

It is 40 minutes after sunrise but the sun only rolls along the horizon at this time of year so it's still very low in the sky.
I loved the horizontal patterns in the snow with the red-tinged snow and the blue shadows. Then the bird food tree (and a few birds) forming a vertical(ish) pattern.
The snow has a "grain" to it, which is a surface of hoar frost crystals growing up from the surface (extra). The hoar frost will disappear tomorrow if the forecast is correct and we get + degrees tomorrow.
My cold isn't getting any worse and I even went out for a short walk after some slight pressure from HarlingDarling!
