Wizard

I know, I've blipped a scene very like this before. And the fog that was shrouding Arnside and the Knott is mysteriously absent just here under the beech tree. But, close examination of this photograph shows that Gus has his wand tucked under his left front leg. Unseen is his Nimbus 2000 broomstick which was leaning up against the other side of the tree. He is usually coy about revealing his magical abilities to us muggles.

This is one of Gus's favourite places on the Knott, because over the last few years he has trained me to give him a handful of treats one at a time as he traverses the big beech rootplate, stopping every metre to pose for a photograph.
